Take the first step towards healing now💚

Trauma Isn't Just Stored in Your Mind. It's Stored in Your Body.

Have you ever felt like you understand why you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or triggered - but your body still reacts as though you're in danger?

Maybe your heart races during conflict. Your shoulders are constantly tense. You feel exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to change, no matter how much insight you have.

This is incredibly common after trauma, chronic stress, emotionally abusive relationships, childhood experiences, or prolonged anxiety.

Trauma doesn't simply live in our memories - it can also live in our nervous system.

Somatic therapy helps you reconnect with your body so healing can happen from the inside out.

What Is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is an evidence-informed approach that recognizes the powerful connection between the mind and body.

Rather than focusing only on thoughts and emotions, somatic therapy helps you notice how your nervous system responds to stress, trauma, and everyday life. By learning to recognize physical sensations, patterns of tension, breathing, movement, and nervous system activation, you can begin releasing survival responses that may have been keeping you stuck for years.

Many people are surprised to discover that healing doesn't always require reliving painful memories. Sometimes healing begins simply by helping your body experience safety again.

Somatic therapy may be helpful if you experience:

  • Anxiety or chronic stress

  • Complex PTSD or trauma

  • Panic attacks

  • Emotional numbness

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself

  • Difficulty relaxing

  • Chronic muscle tension

  • Burnout

  • Emotional overwhelm

  • Shame or self-criticism

  • Difficulty trusting yourself

  • The lingering effects of emotionally abusive or narcissistic relationships

How Somatic Therapy Can Help

Somatic therapy helps you recognize how your body responds to stress while building skills to feel more grounded, calm, and present.

Treatment may include body awareness, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, grounding exercises, breathwork, and other trauma-informed techniques to help you feel safer in your body and everyday life.
